as soem know My Aunty in hospital now for 4 weeks due to Infection of fluid in legs due to liver discease, was doing ok then they tried put antibotic drip in via shoulder as they carnt get them into hands anymore.

well that got infected lol so they been treating that and 1 st lot antibiotics did nothing so changed them was doing okish and some Silly DOC only gave her water pills.
now aunty wasnt aware she was NOT to take them.
so took them as given by doc think well its ok they know me enough now what i can have and carnt.

UMM NO it sent her whole body in to reaction-THEN they realised was water pills!
liver consultant did not know been given them and wel FURIOUS u dont give those to a lady with liver failure it will cause major reaction.

so they are now getting her over this and given ehr nurse eye view pivate room and as result wrong meds another infection.

ohh so cross she was almost ready to come home just 1 more week antibiotics.so a set back bless her.
so now over that onto next lot antibicotics.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
waiting hear how she is tomorrow.
Now of course they bending over backwards to apolgise so should.

That's appalling Inky - just who can we trust in the medical profession these days? I'm glad it was actually spotted and your aunt starts to recover soon.

Updated

Aunty still in hospital recovering well,to be assesed by OT monday all being well see how she would manage at home if extra carers needed etc.

as fluid worst in legs movement may be rather tricky.
on new emdciation which is reducing the fluid build up thankfully.

be 4 weeks monday been in hospital,so far so good.
